Eugene M. "Gene" Isenbergis chairman and chief executive officer of Nabors Industries Ltd. based in Houston, Texas. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the American Stock Exchange and the National Association of Securities Dealers. The Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst bears his name in recognition of his contributions for construction of the new management school, scholarships, and endowment of professorships. Isenberg received his bachelor’s degree in economics from UMass Amherst in 1950 and his master’s from Princeton University in 1952. In 2000, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from UMass Amherst. Isenberg lives in Palm Beach, Florida.

Pamela M. Jacobs is an active alumna, serving as a president of the Washington D.C. area Alumni Club and hosting numerous alumni events with her husband, Robert Jacobs ’68. In 2001, they endowed the annual Robert and Pamela Jacobs Distinguished Lecture in Jewish Culture. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from UMass Amherst in 1969. Jacobs lives in Washington D.C.

James Arthur Jemison is the senior project manager in the Economic Planning and Development Division of the Massachusetts Port Authority. He has served as special assistant for planning and economic development in the Office of Planning and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development in the District of Columbia. He received a bachelor’s degree in Social Thought and Political Economy from UMass Amherst in 1992 and a master’s degree in City Planning, Housing, and Community Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jemison lives in Dorchester, Mass.

James "Jess" Kane is a founding partner of Kane Tesini and Soporowski, a dental practice in Natick, Mass. and served as president of the UMass Alumni Association in 2002 and 2003. He received his bachelor’s degree in pre-dental studies in 1970 from UMass Amherst and a D.M.D. from Tufts University in 1974. Kane is on the teaching faculty at Tufts Dental School and received its Outstanding Alumni Award in 2002.  Kane lives in Holliston, Mass.

Richard Lawton is an attorney in private practice focusing on criminal defense, civil litigation, business litigation, environmental law, and estate planning. In 1995, and again in 2004, Lawton received the Pro Bono Award from the Southeastern Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation. He was appointed to the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees in 2006. Lawton received a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College and a law degree from the New England School of Law. Lawton lives in North Easton, Mass.
